On Sep.13, iDirect announced that SkyStream, the service provider of Dubai-based satellite purchased an universal satellite hub with the model of 15100 from them. The purpose for this action is to improve the ability of covering luxurious yacht owners.

SkyStream said that by using different satellites, the hub would make the company provide Ku-band and C-band coverage. And they will cover two-thirds of the world by using two iDirect hubs and one VNO located in Asia and Europe to support the next-generation HD video conferencing, streaming HDTV and corporate VPN access.

As the part of the Atlas Group International based in UAE, SkyStream was founded in 2004.
